Meet Miles
At heart I am first a Husband, A father, and then a business owner. In March of 2012 I left my full time / benefit paying job with a 6 month old and stay at home wife for a dream. That dream was to open Advisors Insurance Agency, LLC (AIA). AIA had 0 clients, 0 revenue, 1 laptop, 1 cell phone, Some space upstairs in a spare bedroom to work from, & a whole lot of hope. Thank you to our staff that came on board very early on and thank you to our first clients who believed in me. Today we are a thriving growing business in the upstate of SC.
2 events changed the way I run my agency. The first event was early on when I read the book E-Myth by Robert E. Gerber. This book helped me understand what my product was. My product was not insurance policies it was our unique way of doing business. Very early on I knew I had to replace myself and work on my business not in it. The second was when I hired a producer that outsold me day in and day out. This caught me by surprise. I thought I was the best. To realize I was not and I could find more people like this was eye opening. I had to ask myself a question, was I going to be in competition with my sales team or was I going to lead them and our service team?
I look to help others because my story includes people who helped me. Why do you choose Producers to Principals program to help get you to the next stage of your business? Because we are doing it, we have done it, we are one of you. We are not consultants telling you how or why you should do something.
